Bishops See
BEST Consultants were appointed as the specialist Vertical Transportation Engineer. Bishops See Stage 1 – South Tower, comprising a nine level office tower totalling 18,000 sqm is the first 5 Star Greenstar building in Western Australia. A number of innovations have been incorporated into the design of Bishops See in order to target a 5 Star Green Star Office Design rating, including:
- The greywater system installed, utilising sink and shower water discharge for toilet flushing, and is the first commercial office development greywater system to be installed and operational in Western Australia.
- The building has an ABGR basebuild commitment rating of 4.5 stars.
- The podium level landscaping is provided with a water efficient sub-soil drip irrigation system. The air-conditioning system design contains a refrigerant leak detection system.
- The fire services system has been designed such that all test water consumed in the day to day maintenance operation, will be reused through the greywater system.
