Centurion Distribution Centre
Centurion Transportation are a 35 year old company providing transportation and logistical support for companies and communities throughout Western Australia. During the WA mining expansion in 2005 the company outgrew its existing distribution centre and began the design of its new facility in Hazelmere.
BEST Consultants were engaged by the Project Managers and Civil Engineers; Capital House to provide the electrical engineering, lighting design, communications and a sophisticated access control and CCTV system for the new facility.
Beginning with the support maintenance workshop and main distribution warehouse, the facilities were expanded to include the main offices, boiler makers workshop, refueling facilities and truckwash. In total there are 20000m2 of building area over a site of 75000m2.
The company hosts data facilities for mining companies such as Rio Tinto and BHP and has on-site back up diesel generator capacity to ensure its 7 day a week operations are never disrupted due to power blackouts.
