Geralton Southern Transport Corridor
BEST Consultants were commissioned by Abigroup to design and document streetlighting and traffic signals to meet the stringent requirements defined by Main Roads WA.
The new highway extends from the North West Coastal Highway, south east of Geraldton to Mount Magnet Road, a distance of almost 9km.
The electrical services designs were required to consider not only the technical requirements of Main Roads WA but also engineering issues, such as power distribution. Road safety concerns were also reviewed to ensure the correct selection of street furniture such as frangible streetlighting poles.
Construction will be completed on this development in 2009.
