Keith O’Malley has over 30 years experience in the electrical services industry, with the last 20 years being dedicated to electrical building services.
Following an electrician’s apprenticeship with British Railways, Keith was employed in a technicians position before promotion to a supervisory post responsible for small works and maintenance of 22kV traction power supply systems.
On leaving British Rail in 1988, Keith initially worked as a Contracts Manager for a UK company specialising in computer room services before accepting a management position with a UK building services company.
In 1995 Keith emigrated to Australia and accepted the position of Manager of Commercial Projects with ETC, responsible for the design and administration of all facets of electrical services. Keith was promoted to the position of Associate in 1998, and Associate Director in 2003.
Keith joined BEST Consultants in April 2007, as a Director of this proactive and dynamic organization. His succession to Directorship level is a reflection of his dedication and expertise within the industry.
Keith’s broad spectrum of experience enables his effective contribution to a diverse range of projects. This being effectively demonstrated in the successful completion of numerous notable projects including the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre Medina Hotel, Ernst & Young office building and Century City.
More recently Keith has been involved in the design of commercial buildings to achieve stringent requirements as defined under the Green Star arrangement. The most notable project being 100 St Georges Terrace. The 22 storey level commercial office and retail development in the heart of Perth has been accredited with a 4.5 Star Green Star rating.
